Bio
I am a visual artist and researcher exploring the possibilities of art-science connections and interdisciplinary collaborations. Nature is the central theme of my work. I am interested in the complexity of relationships between humans and the environment. I explore this theme from the perspective of small and overlooked organisms, examining their roles within ecosystems and emphasizing their intrinsic value.
Collaboration is an integral part of my practice, and I frequently engage with scientists. These collaborations often evolve into joint projects that blend artistic and scientific perspectives. So far, my work was developing in the fields of bryology, ecology, marine biology, and paleobotany.
I am interested in the role of art as an educational tool, which can communicate scientific ideas, processes and discoveries, in accessible and engaging ways. To that end, I often organize workshops alongside my exhibitions, hoping to share narratives about nature and promote environmental awareness.
My art practice is centered on painting, drawing and installation, though I’m continually exploring new materials and techniques. I hold a Fine Arts degree from the University of Arts in Belgrade (Serbia), a Master’s in Art Research and Creation, and a Doctorate in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain).
I have participated in various international exhibitions, artistic and cultural events and art education projects. My work can be found in different public and private collections. I am open to connecting with fellow artists, researchers, and scientists, hoping to share ideas, methods, and experiences, and potentially develop new collaborative projects.
